My name is Akvile and I am a fiber artist based in Mississauga, Ontario. My love for art started at a young age when I was growing up in Lithuania. I pursued formal education in ceramics at the Art Academy in Vilnius and later on graphic design at Humber College in Toronto. 

Through my journey as an artist, I have explored various forms of art, including ceramic art and oil painting. When I discovered fiber art, it opened up a whole new world for me. With its versatility and playfulness, I found the perfect creative outlet to express myself through textures, color and form. My handmade felt wearable art pieces are not only bold and expressive but also fun and playful. Using a wide variety of materials including wool, silk, fabrics, yarns and threads, I continue to explore different techniques and combinations to create unique fiber art pieces. My inspiration comes from observing nature and its shapes, textures, and colors. I want those who look at my work to be drawn into the rich, textural surface and to experience the joy that comes with its creation.
